Fade Friday – Naked & Famous WeirdGuy Green Selvedge (2 Years, One Soak)

Naked & Famous has a reputation for continually producing the most unique and rare selvedge denim on the market (in case you missed out, check out their Spring/Summer 2013 Collection). They combine old-school Japanese fabric with modern processes to create an incredibly unique wearer experience with every pair they manufacture. Each fabric ages differently and results in less-than-conventional fade patterns. This pair of Japanese Forest Green Selvedge jeans in WeirdGuy fit is no exception.

This week, our Fade Friday feature comes to us from Guy, manager of the awesome Victoria, British Columbia menswear shop, Four Horsemen. Guy purchased this pair of jeans in 2010 and says they were never an everyday pair for him, so they have seen less than a year of actual wear during which they have been soaked only once.

As you can see though, in the time they have been worn these jeans have developed a beautiful gray-ish hue in the areas of high contrasts, especially in the honeycombs on the back of the legs. These jeans still appear to have a lot of life in them and it will be interesting to see how they age as Guy continues to wears them.
