A Visit To Industrie Denim – Striving To Be The Best and Biggest

In the heart of the beautiful San Francisco fashion district lies Industrie Denim, a simple, yet expansive, shop founded in 2011 by American Rag creator, Mark Wert with the mission of being “the best denim store in the world”. While in S.F. recently for Denim Bruin, I had an opportunity to visit the store flaunts a love for denim and vintage goods in a modern world.

With the internet becoming such a prevalent tool for connecting denim enthusiasts and retailers, being able to visit a brick and mortar space like Industrie is refreshing; especially since they boast a resident “Jean-iuses” on-site who have extensive and helpful knowledge of denim.

In terms of the shop’s denim selection, Industrie currently houses more than 20 brands; from the more ubiquitous (e.g. Naked & Famous and Levi’s) to the those that are a little more unfamiliar, including Kato and Skargorn.

However, in order to expand their breadth and offer customers even more variety, Werts and company aim to never rest on their laurels. They’ll soon be bringing on fellow Californians Rogue Territory, Railcar Fine Goods, Rising Sun and Time & Silence, as well as PRPS and Pure Blue Japan (in case you missed it, check out stunning Fade Friday yesterday, the PBJ XX-011).
