Japanese denim giant, EVISU, returns with a strong new capsule collection for Pre-Spring 2014; specifically, two pairs of raw denim jeans and two denim jackets. Featuring clean lines, subtle detailing, and the signature Evisu pocket arches, the collection is a new departure from the louder designs that we have come to expect from the brand as of late.

11 Oz. 2 Pocket Denim Jacket

First in the line-up is the Evisu 2 Pocket Denim Jacket. Constructed of  11 Oz. Japanese raw selvedge denim, it seems to be a stylish jacket that will provide warmth for the coming Fall weather. To help differentiate it from other denim jackets on the market, they’ve added white selvedge detailing along the cuffs and bottom hem of the jacket, a small woven brand logo, colored rivets along the pockets,and white buttons for some extra flair. Expected retail price is £300.00.

14 Oz. 2 Pocket Denim Jacket

Next is another iteration of the 2 Pocket Denim Jacket. This build is of 14 oz. Japanese raw selvedge denim and seems to be the same fit as the previous jacket with different detailing. The selvedge detail is still present along the cuffs and bottom hems, this time in a red and white color pairing. Copper rivets replace the colored ones on this jacket while the addition of the signature Evisu arches on the pocket add an interesting vibe to the garment. It is set to release at £280.00.

Regular Slim Carrot Fit Jeans

Leading off with the jeans is the brand’s newest fit, the Regular Slim Carrot Fit. As described by the company itself the pant is a newly developed carrot fit with an “anti- fit” rise and make for a pretty interesting denim. Constructed from 14 Oz. indigo Japanese raw selvedge they are adorned with silver buttons and rivets at the stress points.

All Evisu products follow their 7 tenets to ensure a well made, top quality garment. The back of the pants sports an Evisu branded back waistband patch, and the iconic Evisu arches. To top it all off, the seams are accompanied by a white line selvedge. Expected retail on this piece will be about £220.00.

Slim Carrot Fit Jeans

Rounding this collection out is the Slim Carrot Fit. With a bit of a darker pigment than the previous pant, the Slim Carrot Fit goes for a more subdued look than the first jean presented. For this model, Evisu chose to make things a bit lighter, by 0.5 Oz in fact., and is constructed from 13.5 Oz. Japanese raw selvedge denim.

However, like the first jean, silver hardware holds them together and a small brand logo is sewn into the coin pocket as well. The back of the jean sports the standard leather back patch, a sewn Evisu logo on the right pocket, while the jean is sealed in by a red and white selvedge line. The pair will retail for about £220.
