Red Wing x Tenue de Nimes Limited Edition Natural Indigo-Dyed Boots

Never one to shy away from bold collaborations (especially involving indigo dye), just yesterday the team at Tenue de Nimes unveiled their latest creation – the Red Wing Natural Indigo Boots. This limited edition pair was made in cooperation with a group of expert craftsmen at Rampuya (i.e. Momotaro Jeans) from Kojima, Japan and in celebration of the Amsterdam shop’s recent five year anniversary.

The ideation process for this unique piece began earlier this year in May while the shop was visiting a denim factory in Kojima. They were exploring the possibility of dip-dyeing leather shoes, and provided five pairs of natural rough-out leather Red Wing Moc boots to be dyed with different compositions of natural and artificial indigo.

As you can see from the images below, they eventually opted to move ahead with a stunning dark, naturally indigo-dyed model. It boasts a deep, rich shade that contrasts wonderfully with Red Wing‘s signature laces, while still retaining the iconic Red Wing 6″ Moc look.

As this collaboration is a limited release, only fifty pairs were produced for sale. If you’re thinking of treating yourself to an early Christmas gift, head over to Tenue de Nimes for full purchase details.
