Levi’s Vintage Clothing x Unionmade 1947 501 Jeans

Levi’s Vintage Clothing and Unionmade have just released the 1947 501 jean. This exclusive is part one of a six item celebratory collaboration for the five year anniversary of Unionmade. Levi’s Vintage Clothing sources materials from their own archives to reproduce nostalgic fits, fabrics, and details. Inspiration comes from none other than the hardworking men and women Levi’s has equipped for the past 141 years. Unionmade derives its name from the concept of collaborating. Being interested in well-made American style and aesthetically classic goods–and that they’re both headquartered in San Francisco–the Levi’s and Unionmade collaboration only makes sense.

As a part of the Capsule Collectionthe 1947 501 jean features two fabrics from Cone Mills: indigo canvas panels on the front legs and a 12oz. cotton, selvedge denim for the rest of the pants. And just like they were made in 1947, the jeans are detailed with two-back pockets and covered rivets which (fun fact) returned after the war.

The ring spun denim is still woven on the same Greensboro shuttle looms and cut in the slim-straight 1947 fit. It doesn’t get more authentic than that. All products of the Capsule Collection are one-of-a-kind pieces and available now, but in extremely limited quantities.
