Epaulet Unfinished Horsehide Trainers

In the works from Epaulet are a set of Portuguese-made sneakers that will grow darker as your jeans fade to white. Set to deliver in October 2015, the Epaulet Unfinished Horsehide Trainers are made to patina and develop a rich unique character reflective of the wearer.

The uppers are made of Italian front quarter horse hide that’s been veg-tanned and are soft and supple from the get-go. Inside you’ll find a kidskin glove leather liner and a removable leather liner footbed which will mold to your foot. They’re being made into four classic sneaker styles including the Tennis LowTennis HighSport Trainer (a German Army Trainer copy), and Full Court High.

Prices range from $245 to $275 depending on the model with a deposit of $110. They’re only accepting pre-orders until July 3rd or until all 500 sizes are filled. So, if you want a piece of the patina action, scoot your hide on over to the Epaulet website.
