Today’s Fade of the Day is a pair of Strike Gold 5105‘s coming to us from Jack Widrick of New York.

For work, these jeans were worn in a more business casual context most days of the week. Though, with the Adirondacks in such close proximity, they also got some good wear from hiking.

At 9 months with 4 washes and soaks, the result is a more vintage fade with tons of texture thanks to the short staples of cotton used for the weft yarns. The rear pocket arcs have fallen apart beautifully, accompanied by some wallet blowouts. And, if you look closely, the hardware has taken on a patina and has also started to rust. Look even closer and, yes, that’s duct tape covering up the crotch blowout.
