TGIFF. This week’s Fade Friday, submitted by Brian Chan, has been in development since 2008 for a total of 7 years and 6 months with numerous washes. That many years and that much water has given these Samurai S0500XX’s an overall lighter shade with plenty of vertical slub action. There aren’t many dark areas and most of the thigh is void of any indigo. It looks as though the whiskers and honeycombs have come and now are nearly gone. After years of wear and wash, the cherished fade patterns are starting to disappear.

He’s managed to keep them going this long through several loving repairs, mostly at the thighs and knees. They’re somewhat of a Franken-jean now as Chan gleaned what denim he could from other denim brands like 45rpm and Ooe Yofukuten.

You can keep up with Brian on Instagram, Twitter, and SuFu.
