With winter on its way, water will definitely want to destroy your precious kicks. In preparation for the coming onslaught of sleet and subsequent slick streets, Oak Street Bootmakers has two boots up for pre-order that will keep you grounded.
The first is the Peanut Suede Dainite Sole Campus Chukka. Now, suede in the rain is generally a no-no, but OSB’s version is actually Horween’s Orion suede which is patented and waterproof. As the name implies, it’s equipped with a Dainite sole via Goodyear welt construction. It’s lined with calfskin and features blind eyelets for a dressier feel if that’s the way you want to go.
The second item up for pre-order is the Brown Waxed Flesh Commando Sole Trench Boot, an absolute tank of a shoe. The upper uses a roughout leather that’s hand-waxed at Horween’s tannery giving it an incredible texture that will break in and patina beautifully with time. On the inside, you’ll find Horween’s famed chromexcel leather. With a Goodyear storm welt construction, it features a commando sole and toplift with a stacked leather heel to keep your shoe game head and shoulders above the rest.
Both are on pre-order until November 23rd with the Campus Chukka priced at $462 and the Trench Boot at $476.
