A spur of the moment inspiration that turned into a reality, the Teranishi Hinge is the newest bag in the brand’s lineup. It’s a backpack whose main feature is a compartment that opens like a hinge via an angled zipper. This allows greater visual access to the bag’s contents.
Though the bag’s outward appearance is kept minimal, its list of details is not short. For starters, it uses a 10 oz. waxed canvas in a classic navy color. When you open the compartment using the Italian Lanfranchi Superlampo zip, you’ll find that the interior is lined with a reversed 9 oz. waxed denim from Cone Mills.
Not only is it lined with some waxy goodness, all the seams are bound for an entirely clean construction. Inside, you can fit up to a 13″ laptop which rests against a foam-padded back. And, to carry it all, it features 9 oz. natural veg-tan leather straps which are cut ergonomically and are adjusted using military-spec nickel strap adjusters.
