Heller’s Cafe 1950s Military Art Coverall Jacket

Part of what makes vintage clothing a thrill is the occasional DIY artwork painted across the backs of military jackets, or etched into Zippo lighters. The hunt for these relics can be tough, though, and you may not ever find one for yourself without a considerable amount of effort. The search has been made a little easier thanks to Heller’s Cafe and their 1950’s Military Art Coverall.

This classic comes with the details de rigeur of a work coat: selvedge denim fabric, triple needle construction, and pockets galore (even the specific ones for your watch and pencil). But the obvious kicker is the beautiful hand painted art work. It may not be a true vintage piece (though the extremely limited release feels like it is), but it’s certainly one jacket that you won’t see everywhere.
