The fabled boy hero Momotaro is famous for being born from a large peach, and do we have a peach of a fade for you today. This well-worn pair of Momotaro x Blue Owl BOM008-T‘s comes to us from reader Steve Minard of Costa Mesa, California. They’ve traveled all around North America through much of the US, and into Canada and Mexico.

Steve says that riding to work in them daily likely sped up the fading process, as has been wearing them while working on his two classic Volkswagens. He even wears them while working in the garage shaping surfboards.

At less than two years of wear, they’ve already gone in for some repairs over at Indigo Proof, including work on the crotch, cuffs, and back pocket. After no washes for the first six months, Steve’s put these on a 2-month wash schedule. After getting a load of his crispy whiskers, and shredded honeycombs, we figure he’s doing something right.
