Kiriko x Red Clouds Collective Sashiko Leather Backpack

Makers and purveyors of fine Japanese and Japanese-inspired goods, Kiriko teams up with their fellow Portland craftspeople at Red Clouds Collective for a book bag that’ll have all the other students green.

Cut and sewn in Portland, Oregon, these bags are a far cry from your old Jansport you used to rock in grade school. It uses 14oz. American canvas for the body and incorporates traditional Japanese sashiko stitching into its various panels so you can be that one wabi-sabi kid on campus. It’s equipped with dual side pockets and one large main compartment for all your #2 pencils, graphing calculators, and brown bag lunches. Heavy duty Hermann Oak leather keeps you strapped while antique brass hardware holds it all together.

Available for $360 at Kiriko.
