We’re turning from denim to dunks for today’s fade, but worry not for the aging on display is no less impressive. Our Fade of the Day is a pair of Nike Jordan 1 Pinnacle Vachetta Tan that comes to us from Gi Tae Hong of Pleasant Hill, California. These shoes come in natural, vegetable tan leather (related reading: “Know Your Shoe Leathers: The 9 Most Common Options”) that in less than a year, have achieved a wonderful orange patina.

Gi has worn these shoes often, and has also placed them outside for tanning on occasion. That, and conditioning them once with Mustang Paste and once with mink oil, no doubt helped the leather darken appreciably. We’re very curious to see how these will look after another nine months.
