Fade of the Day – A.P.C. New Standard (8 Years, 7 Washes)

When it comes to self-repairing your denim, it can be a hit or miss experience. Luckily for Tom Cosh from New York, he put a lot of thought and care into the repairs made to his A.P.C. New Standard and they are still kicking today.

Eight years is a long time to wear a pair of jeans, so it’s only expected that over time the crotch will likely blow out, the knees will wear thin, and the back pockets will gain a few wallet-shaped holes. After years of self-repairs, Tom finally brought his jeans to Left Field NYC in Queens, NYC last year for some heavy duty repairs that included darning over patches–we’re talking repairs on repairs here, people!

The results are not only unique but also make for a totally personalized pair of jeans with some righteous fades to top it off. Keep up with Tom on Instagram.
