Pherrow’s Sportswear 25th Anniversary 16W-MA-1 Jacket

As any half-rate hypebeast can tell you, we are well beyond peak MA-1, the jacket had its moment and is calming back down into dormancy for another decade of obscurity. So it may seem strange that Japanese sportswear brand Pherrow’s is releasing their version of the Air Force flying jacket now.

But as William Gibson (author and MA-1 aficionado) mentioned in our interview, “It will become not the thing, and then it will again belong to the people who totally get it, until it becomes the thing again.” Well, let me tell you that Pherrow’s totally gets it. They stopped making their version of the MA-1 in 2011 and are only re-releasing a limited run of 150 jackets with deadstock materials now for their 25th anniversary. It’s made entirely to the original spec and comes with and without the “L.Pherrow” patch.

Figure out if you get it or not at for 58,000-60,000 JPY at Pherrow’s.
