There’s nothing like a classic pair of Levi’s 501 STF to satisfy the need for no frills denim. This pair is no exception; well worn and considerably faded after a year of daily use. The wearer has been pretty liberal with washing his jeans, basically tossing them in the machine whenever necessary.

Although the overall loss of dye is fairly consistent, the lap fade is most prominent with almost none of original indigo left. There are also nice whiskers developing, and on the flipside, we can see subtle honeycombs, and some signs of distress in the pocket and leg openings, which could require repairs sooner rather than later. Despite that, these are a solid pair of Levi’s with tons of life left in them.
