Gypsy Jazz is Mister Freedom’s Inspiration for Their Veste Belleville Jackets

Mister Freedom and the man at the helm, Christophe Loiron, like to go deep (sometimes too deep). This latest release takes a few notes from French gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt (arguably the finest guitarist to have ever lived) whose sartorial roots come from European workwear of the early twentieth century.

Mister Freedom combines these looks for the Veste Belleville, a chore coat in the tradition of ‘bleu de travaille’ that comes in both bleu indigo and a covert stripe twill. The fabric and the coat are both made in Japan with Mister Freedom partner Sugar Cane and should keep you strumming along for many years to come.

Available for $500 and $550 at Mister Freedom.
