5 Beltloops

What does 5 Beltloops mean?

The number of beltloops a typical pair of jeans has, usually as two beltloops in the front above the front pockets. Two beltloops are at each side as well and one in the center back of the jeans. Between the right side and center back loops is the denim patch.

There’s no firm rule for the number of beltloops a pair of denim jeans may have, but the number is typically five.  Depending on the denim producer as well, the beltloop may be detailed with selvedge hidden underneath.
