Quality Control

What does Quality Control mean?

Quality control is a general term used to describe the procedures followed by a company to ensure that their product meets some standard of goodness.

Heddels explains Quality Control

There is neither a required nor regulated standard for many products, including jeans; thus, a manufacturer’s claim that a product is quality controlled guarantees very little.  However, most jeans companies take pride in their pants and want to ensure customer satisfaction. Thus, many of them establish predetermined standards that must be met throughout the various stages in the production cycle to ensure a high quality pair of jeans.  For most manufacturers, the challenge lies in maintaining quality control while also maintaining cost control.  Finding the proper balance between these two competing forces results in financial success.
