A branded form of Polyester, produced by Hoechst Fibres Inc, which is considered to be higher performing than regular polyester.

Introduced by Hoechst AG in 1956, Trevira is a brand name for a series of fabrics based on polyester fibers. The company advertises their materials as being low pill, flame retardant, and antimicrobial. One line, Trevira Xpand, was created especially for use in sportswear and denim and offers increased stretchability, breathability, and colorfastness.
