Over the course of July 22nd-23rd, denimheads, fashionistas and goodie bag hunters enjoyed Blueprint, an exhibition space inside the Modefabriek, the ultimate fashion trend show in Amsterdam.
Blueprint is a trade-show for high-end quality denim and streetwear, where small denim brands like the Belgic Eat Dust, the Pike Brothers from Germany and Dutch brand Benzak Denim Developers have a chance to blend with well-established ones like Wrangler, Lee and Nudie Jeans. Everything denim related contained inside an environment of fellowship and camaraderie.
Some other exhibitors were present, like the city local fashion matchmaker HTNK with their well known Onedayshop Indigo Edition. They gave visitors the oportunity to purchase from the lastest collections of reputable denim and streetwear brands.
Also people like the remarkable Dutch blogger Wouter Munnichs from the Long-John blog, with his Worn-Out Projects and the innovative House of Denim.
At this gathering it was easy to run into a certain SuperFuture moderator wearing Mister Freedom’s, share a beer with your favorite jeans-maker or just learn from a vintage biker how to recognise selvedge denim. All of this as you were discovering various products, getting goodie bags from retailers or just having a snack offered by the enthusiastic staff.
You could just cruise between the booth of Lee Jeans Archive +101 and the denim corner that K.O.I. prepared, talk with a Red Wing ambassador and maybe anchor for a moment to purchase a BDD denim boxer short collab, with rivets included!
There was enough denim, indigo and jeans to go around twice. Added with the 2013 new collections from mainstream brands, it made for a party that could easily last longer than two days.
