Today’s Fade Friday is a bit of a special one since its not just any Friday. Today also marks exactly 2 years since our featured jeans began their journey towards eternal greatness.
While “greatness” sounds like a pretty lofty word to use, it’s not without reason. These jeans are one of the most popular pairs running in the Eternal 811 contest on SuperFuture. Worn for the last two years by forum member ah_long, these jeans have seen a lot of wear between frequent fishing trips and an amazing travel-log.
According to ah_long, in the last couple years the jeans have been to Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, St Johns, Calgary, our home town of Edmonton, Winnipeg, NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Santiago, Santa Maria, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, Dublin, Athens, London, and more. Today we’re featuring photos of the jeans at the 6 month mark, 1 year anniversary, and just before 2 years.
The Eternal 811 Contest began on October 10th, 2010 (10/10/10) and will end December 12th of this year (12/12/12). Contestants from all over the world have worn the same contest-specific model of Eternal’s classic 811 fit (produced in conjunction with BlueInGreen) for the past two years and will submit their final fade results to be judged by Eternal’s staff in Japan. Winners will receive BIG gift cards. Of course, we’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date when the results are in.
