Over the last 2 decades, DENIME has established itself as a well respected and sought after brand especially in Japan and other parts of Asia. DENIME‘s careful attention to reproducing the qualities of 1950s-1970s denim classics while incorporating more modern trends has resulted in jeans that has become popular among fans of Levi’s 1947, 1954, and 1966 501s.
Adding to the cult status of the brand, it has become increasingly difficult to find DENIME jeans that still have the red tab on the back pocket as the brand had to stop using them after 2007 due to legal issues with Levi’s.
This week’s feature on Fade Friday is a pair of DENIME Lot 773 worn by SuperFuture user, a9am, for 16 months. While little is known about what a9am did to achieve the fades, honey combs, and whiskering, he kept track of the progress of the jeans after each wash.
Unfortunately we weren’t able to track down “Before” photos, but over the course of the 16 months, he washed them 3 times demonstrating that it is possible to achieve great looking fades while washing them more often than once a year.
