While much of the northern hemisphere is beginning to experience the annual end of summer reality check, Japan Blue is keeping the consumer spirit high with the announcement of not only their Fall/Winter 2013 campaign, but also part of their Spring/Summer 2014 campaign.
The large announcement, 6 new styles of denim, is also set to heavily influence Japan Blue‘s day-to-day offerings with 3 of the pairs announced (JB0406, JB0212, JB0716) falling into Japan Blue‘s “Regular” category – a range of styles that will be consistently restocked throughout the year.
For F/W 2013, Japan Blue have interestingly chosen to work with fabrics ranging from 10 Oz. – 16.5 Oz. Although it’s unusual to see such lightweight denim in a winter collection, it will definitely be interesting to see how the material stands up too the cold. Aside from the lightweight denim, it is clear that winter weather has influenced this collection with the introduction of “indigo sweat” denim, jeans that pull inspiration from sweat pants, and denim woven with camouflage detailing.

Spring/Summer 2014
So far, we’ve only seen a small snippet of Japan Blue‘s S/S 2014 collection. The JB04A4 jeans are constructed out of a denim that has a comfortable weight for the hot summer months and a bright cyan blue color that sparks flashbacks to BBQ’s and days spent on the beach.
