Today, Self Edge released its latest collaboration with Australian denim brand Imperial. The jeans feature a slim fit based off of the classic Dior 19cm cut and details like a selvedge outseam that runs all the way up the waist, wing arcs with indigo-dyed thread on the back pockets, and a American/Australian flag stamped back patch commemorating the colalb.
But the real kicker on this pair is the super low tension fabric woven by Misuzu Denim in Okayama. This 16oz unsanforized denim may be on the heavier side, but the loose weave insures breathability for the upcoming warmer months. The warp yarns were dipped ten times and still retain a white core for high contrast fades.
Imperial and Self Edge scoff at lighter weight seasonal denims, as if to say, “That’s not a summer jean, this is a summer jean!”
