Back in March 2014, Edwin Japan partnered with the team at Edwin Europe to unveil their inaugural collaborative project – the ED-55 “Made in Japan” model. Initially exclusive in limited quantities London’s Son of a Stag for S/S 2014, the denim uniquely combines Edwin Europe’s best selling fit – the tapered, mid-rise ED-55 – with one of Edwin Japan’s most prized fabrics; an unsanforized, 14 oz., rainbow selvedge denim sourced from the famed Nihon Menpu mill.
However, if by chance you didn’t get your hands on the denim the first time around, you are now in luck. Edwin Europe recently announced the special model is available for general release online and within their European stockists. Be sure to keep in mind appropriate sizing as the denim will shrink by 1.5 sizes after approximately eight washes.
