It doesn’t make a terrible amount of sense that Southeast Asia has taken to raw denim so passionately. With tropical temperatures and humidity, it seems like wearing heavy cotton pants would equate to masochism. Yet those same factors have led to some of the most amazing fades around.

Today’s Fade Friday comes to us from Cambodia, where Ali Hunt has worn his Hiut Denim jeans for the past fifteen months. He’s taken them motorcycling, to language classes, to playing with his kids, and even through Cambodia’s rainy season, when he had to dodge many an incoming rainstorm to spare the jeans another wash.

The results show a clean and even fade with a deep patina despite the multiple washes. The jeans have also held up quite well, without needing any repairs, so Ali keeps on wearing and fading them in that Cambodian heat. See the full pics above.
