Red Wing Green Kangatan 8180 Sports Boots – Just Released

The legend began in 1905 when Charles Beckman set out to make “truly good shoes”. Since then, Red Wing persevered as a heritage boot brand. In its former years, Red Wing released a unique sports boot that originally was brought to fame by former Red Sox left fielder, Ted Williams. The “Super Setter” combined the elements of green Australian racing leather hide, a Scottish zug leather vamp, an English overlay pac toe, and German speed laces for sport standards.

Remaining consistent with its Red Wing roots, the boot was finished with Norwegian reverse water repellant welting and Swiss Vibram soles. Originally, the SuperSetter was sold exclusively through Sears. Now, Red Wing is releasing the updated version, the Kangatan 8180, featuring a Traction Tred outsole, Goodyear Welt construction and the continued green Kangatan Portage leather.
