Denim vets Studio D’Artisan are celebrating their 35th anniversary with an absolutely insane pair of jeans that’s chockfull of details you’ll likely never see anywhere else. Some of these notable details include exposed rivets on the rear pockets as well as a crotch rivet. The belt loops have been sewn into the waistband from both ends of each belt loop. To commemorate the occasion, SDA also used a hair on hyde leather patch bearing the mark “Special Edition / 35 Anniversary”.
Where things get crazy is with the selvedge. Selvedge is everywhere on this special pair of jeans, even in places you didn’t think selvedge could be. It’s used for the outseam, fly, and coin pocket – no big deal. A little more interesting is the use of selvedge for the rear pockets and the interior waistband. But wait… each leg has not 1, not 2, but 3 strips of selvedge. This gives the construction of the jean a unique silhouette and some interesting selvedge tracks down the line. Worn with turned up cuffs, it’ll undoubtedly turn some heads.
