Bringing a new fit to their lineup, 3sixteen has recently released their CT or Classic Taper jean. It comes in their flagship 100x denim, a custom woven 14.5oz. Japanese selvedge denim from Kuroki Mills. The jean features a roomy top block with a high rise–the same that’s found on their CS (Classic Straight) fit–and tapers below the knee. It’s essentially a blend of their CS and their ST (Slim Taper). This new fit could work well both for guys who have bigger thighs but still want a nice slim taper, as well as those who just want a pair of jeans with a roomier fit.
With the fashion world slowly, but surely, moving away from low rise, super slim jeans, this could be a sign of a turning tide. And although they only offer it in the 100x fabric, future seasons may see iterations of the CT in a variety of fabrics. Whichever way you look at it, it’s a refreshing silhouette in a world of slim-straight jeans.
They retail for $220 and you can find them on the 3sixteen website.
