Many brands do Alden collaborations, but not many do them as well as Epaulet. I’ve lost count of what number this is for them, but this pair of Alt Wien cap-toe bluchers is the third in their series made of brown Innsbruck Chromexcel leather (the last one was a pair of longwings).
Alt Wien means “Old Vienna”, which Epaulet equates to the “stout elegance” of the shoe’s design: metal eyelets, flat laces, reverse stitch welt, semi-brogue captoe, and a commando sole. They’re the kind of shoes you could wear for a day of hoofing it as a tourist at the Hofburg and Riding School right on through to an evening performance at the Vienna Opera.
Available for $565 at Epaulet.
