Inspiration LA – Vintage and Repro Paradise Starts Tomorrow

Author Rin Tanaka has spent many years cataloguing the best of vintage workwear, military, and motorcycle apparel with books like the My Freedamn series and the Harley Davidson Book of Fashions, so it’s no surprise he also organizes a trade show with the best of today.

For the past five years, Inspiration LA has gathered together fans and brands from all over the world for a two-day party celebrating American vintage and the clothing inspired by it. Best of all, this tradeshow is open to everyone, so it’s not just for industry jerks like us–you can come too! This year it’s at The Reef exhibition space in Downtown LA and runs from noon to 9pm on Friday and 10am to 6pm on Saturday.

You can find the full brand list and pick up tickets on Inspiration’s website, but highlights include Railcar Fine Goods, The Real McCoy’s, Levi’s Vintage Clothing, Burgus Plus, Himel Bros., Carpe Denim, Freenote Cloth, PF Flyers, Roy, and Eat Dust. A few brands also sell wholesale to the public here, so that ticket can pay for itself very quickly.

You can see some of my photos from 2013 above and read my full coverage here. Hope to see you there!
