Fade of the Day – Naked & Famous Red Weft (3 Years, 2 Months, 5 Washes)

It’s been over 3 years in the making and a total of 5 washes for today’s fade. Reader Mark Crowe put in the miles on his Naked & Famous Weird Guy Red Weft jeans biking and walking around his home of Kansas City, Missouri. The fabric is made with indigo yarns for the warp, red yarns for the weft, and is then over-dyed with indigo. The result, per Mark’s example, is a jean that fades to white with an overall red tint. You can actually see some of the red weft yarns exposed in the crotch as well as the back pockets. Even then, this pair’s got plenty of life left.

Check out his first pair of featured fades here, and you can find him on Instagram too.
