Many arguments and debates have been had over the proper way to wash your raws. Hand washing with Woolite Dark, ocean washing, and even no washing at all have been some of the techniques mentioned at length among said debates. For those of us who fall into the first camp, you might want to try Studio D’Artisan‘s new Jeans Laundry Detergent.
They developed this detergent specifically to preserve the rich color and textures of the jean while removing dirt, debris and odor. Unlike other detergents, Studio D’Artisan’s version contains no bleach, softeners, or perfumes. It’s ecologically safe and easy on the hands too. While we haven’t been able to test it ourselves, the pictures from their blog make some compelling points. And, although it’s purposed for denim, they say that the detergent isn’t limited to just jeans and will work perfectly with all of your cotton garments.
You can find them at the Studio D’Artisan website for 1,944 JPY or about $15 USD.
