Have you ever wondered what jeans washed in the Pacific Ocean would feel like but never had the chance to do so yourself? Well you’re in luck! The folks at Seattle’s Blue Owl Workshop have teamed up with LA’s Rogue Territory to bring you a one of a kind one-wash collaboration.
The Expedition Selvedge Denim uses a 14oz. unsanforized denim from Nihon Menpu Mills in RgT’s slim SK fit. The fabric is woven with an extra low tension, giving it a hairy, neppy, and ultra slubby feel. Normally you have to take unsanforized denim home and shrink it in your tub before wear, but the guys at Blue Owl have taken that step for you by taking the jeans to the beach.
A special 28 pairs of the jeans were washed in the Pacific at Seattle’s Golden Gardens beach and then line dried in the sun. These select few also come with a commemorative collab beach towel and a signed photo by the Blue Owl bathers. If soaking yourself is more your thing, you can buy the jeans in their raw state as well.
Both raw ($265) and beach fresh Golden Edition ($275) will go on sale today at 11:00am PST at Blue Owl.
