Back in 2013, we announced the arrival of these glorious jeans to the shelves of Blue in Green; another highly anticipated release from the indigo giants at Pure Blue Japan. Since then, Denimio has hosted a contest featuring these jeans (which is technically still running until October). It seems as if RD reader Raymond Johnson simply couldn’t wait the full year to display the already glorious development of his PBJ XX-012‘s, and that’s alright with us.

The XX-012’s are created with a genuine indigo warp and weft which created that deep and dark blue you see in the before photos. Not only does this give them a distinct look when they’re brand new, it also affects how these jeans fade in a truly unique way. Raymond wore these jeans as a college student, splitting his time in these jeans between the classroom, the outdoors, and as a DJ. When the jeans look this good already, it’s safe to say the end results of this contest will be something to look forward to.
