Fade Friday – Paleo Denim 1112IX Sample (2 Years, Unknown Washes)

Paleo Denim founder Richard Cole has been producing jeans since 2007, setting out with a desire to master a skill and the determination to figure it out himself. Fast forward eight years where he now operates a full fledged industrial warehouse in Austin, TX filled with a fleet of more than 10 vintage sewing machines that he uses to create every pair of Paleo Denim jeans.

This pair, the 1112IX, is a sample Richard made that was never put into production, though he wore them for 2 years through countless adventures. He wore them on a motorcycle trip to the west coast to source machinery for a new workspace, and subsequently built that workspace in the very same pair. Countless repairs and washes later, we are left with this awesome pair of jeans that not only represents the qualities of a well-built garment, but also the perseverance and growth of an independent company.
