Nudie Jeans Co have released many special edition collections over the years. While digging through their warehouse, they discovered a few forgotten boxes containing some limited pieces from these releases which they have compiled now and re-released under the appropriate title Deadstock. They have broken it down into four main categories each containing very limited sizes from yester-year.
First are three items from the Woad/Guado SS12 release, all made using a labor intensive hand dyeing method. A soft, super unique light hue of blue is the result, cut into a jacket, overshirt, and one of Nudie’s most popular denim fits the Grim Tim.
Next, we get a select few sizes of Nudie’s heaviest denim release to date (although barely tipping the scales by some brand’s measure)–the Steady Eddie in 18oz Kaihara Mills selvedge denim from the Heavy Japan collection.
Third up are re-released pieces from Nudie’s LAB Collection. This spread features shirts, sweaters, jackets, and jeans all super limited and all based on real life events. Take the Sonny denim jacket, a Type I style jacket that uses real vegetable indigo for a brighter denim. Or if interestingly odd denim is what you’re after, the Fast Freddy in Dry Hemp Selvedge (80% cotton, 20% hemp) with a cinch-back might be for you.
Lastly, Nudie dug up a couple of pairs of their Grim Tim Organic Dry Pima Selvage Blue jeans. These jeans were made using cotton grown on a small scale organic farm in New Mexico and woven in Japan.
Pieces in these collections vary from $210-549 and are available from Nudie Jeans Co.
