The beloved postman isn’t a thing of the past quite yet – if we’re talking Red Wing Heritage. The brand’s iconic Postman style has just launched in two new colorways for spring/summer 2016. The newest members of the Postman family are 3107 (Copper Rough & Tough) and 3108 (Navy Abilene).

Part of the Heritage collection, they are inspired by the 101s that Red Wing specifically designed in the mid-twentieth century for US Postal workers. The style balances the sturdiness needed for the man with a career in walking, with the professional polish of the traditional postman’s uniform.

Leather is sourced from SB Foot Tanning Company, the sole is Atlas Tred, and eyelets are blind. The 3107 and 3108’s aren’t likely to fuel a workwear-inspired resurgence of walking postmen, but the style has certainly stood the test of time over the last 46 years.
