Knickerbocker Mfg. Co. has just introduced the newest addition to their line, this time taking the form of a classically inspired suit. The Sack Suit Collection consists of a three piece suit including Sack Coat, Jack’s Vest and Officer Chino. KMFG has always paid strong attention to the best parts of heritage menswear, and this new release is no exception taking style tips from the versatile and minimalist early 1900’s suit.
The Sack Coat is reminiscent of Brooks Brothers‘ “No. 1 Sack Suit” with no extra frills. In a time where money and clothing were tight for the working class American families, what they did own had to be versatile. With those needs in mind, the Sack Coat can easily be worn with or without it’s accompanying pieces – dressed up or down depending on the occasion. The Jack’s Vest is similar in many ways, with simple and clean lines and featuring single needle lock stitching and felled seams. With two patch waist pockets and an inverted chest pleat pocket, this vest merges classic workwear and tailored dresswear. Finally, the Officer Chino is cut from 8oz. American-woven cotton twill and features a trimmed straight leg silhouette with front pleats.
All are made in USA and can be found from $165-$265 at Knickerbocker MFG.
