Freewheelers “The Vanishing West” 601XX Jeans

From Freewheelers comes “The Vanishing West” 601XX jeans. Based off vintage Levi’s from the 1940’s, they may not look like much at first. But don’t judge this book by its cover because it’s got the details in droves, dripping with homage in each metaphorical word.

The fabric is a one wash 14.5oz. selvedge denim made with a slubby indigo dyed warp and a beige weft. It’s resulting fades are just like the vintage ones: sky blue and full of texture. Selvedge cotton twill pocket bags will keep your keys and crumpled receipts in place. The fly uses branded iron buttons that have been coated in a yellow, rust-resistant enamel. Copper rivets keep everything held together with hidden ones behind the asymmetrical rear pockets. You’ll find a beautiful deerskin leather patch with various references to the jeans’ inspiration. Slip into its straight taper fit and you’re a 1940’s civilian again.

Available for $360AUD (~$265USD) at Corlection.
