Michael Masterson of Mastersons HQMG and Steven Dang of Railcar Fine Goods are two of the most intense and perfectionistic people I know in the clothing business. Both produce all of their products in-house, and they both try to make as much of their materials themselves as possible (Michael grows his own indigo and Steven has recently started to tinker with a Draper loom), so it was only a matter of time before we saw these two collaborate.

The Railcar x Masterson Button Down was made in both Masterson’s and Railcar’s workshops and combines all the details we’ve come to love about each brand. The fabric is a midweight selvedge Japanese chambray and has the signature Railcar flat-felled double chainstitch seams, and then the Masterson’s fuller body fit and zig-zag stitch placket.
