Studio D’Artisan OKI-815 Heiwa Champloo 70th Anniversary Jeans

Masters of pulling inspiration from the past, Studio D’Artisan recently announced the release of their OKI-815 Heiwa Champloo Jeans to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II last August. These things are rife with vintage call-backs such as the spade back pockets, stud buttons, and exposed front pocket rivets – reminiscent of old Lee or Levi’s from back in the day.

They are cut from a 14oz. left-hand Aya denim with a blue line selvedge and feature a rare Ishigaki leather patch from cows raised in the subtropical wilderness of Okinawa. The overarching theme of peace is the main focus, even down to the “peace dove” arcuates and pocket bag calligraphy design, where the Studio team proves yet again their fanatical eye for detail.

Available for $336 at Rakuten.
