Some denim heads choose a more lax approach to their jeans; that is, just wear them and whatever happens happen. Then there are people like Bert van Orden from the Netherlands that have taken jeans wearing to a near scientific level.
Having owned this pair of Denham Razor VJS‘s for two years and four months, we previously saw this denim at the one year, two month mark and he has continued to meticulously clock every wear day seperately (take a closer look at that waistband), reaching a grand total of 343 days. He even knows that on the 264th day of wear he gave his jeans a bath wash.
One DIY crotch repair later, and he’s got some awesomely calculated fades to enjoy that include some tight stacks of whiskers and awesome knee fades. If it ever comes time to write the denim almanac, these jeans would serve as a good case study.
