d’emploi XYZ Oaxacan Wool Tote and Traveler Bags

d’emploi’s new Totes and Traveler Bags are hearty vessels loaded with hand-tooled details, like hand-hammered copper rivets (speaking as someone who used to work in the rivet business, that task is a true labor of love) and hand spun, hand dyed, hand woven fabric made in Santa Ana del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico.

The 6oz. oil tanned leather handles and bottom, especially on the Traveler, are made to withstand many beatings by airline bag throwers, and the natural option on the Grey colorway will create a rich patina’d contrast with its wool pairing over time. Oh, and in case you’re curious about the designs woven into the wool, they’re traditional Zapotec star constellations.

Pick up a little something different from d’emploi for $320 (Tote) to $450 (Traveler).
