Fade of the Day – 3sixteen CT-120x (9 Months, 4 Washes, 1 Soak)

The dye is strong with this one, my fellow denimheads. Philadelphia’s own Bart Stachurski has worn these 3sixteen CT-120xs diligently for the last nine months and the results have easily earned him a spot this week on our Fade of the Day.

The CT-120x is 3sixteen’s classic tapered fit, cut from a Kuroki Mills‘ 14.5 oz. raw selvedge “Shadow Denim” with an indigo warp and black weft…which explains the name. This denim started out super dark but after months of hiking, biking, driving, and sitting at Bart’s desk job, it is obvious that they can be faded, and faded well at that.

They now shine a brilliant hue of indigo with bright seam fades and super dark inner folds that make for a nice contrast from the original state of the denim. All that wear has earned these jeans two crotch repairs so far, but it doesn’t sound like Bart is going to be hanging them up any time soon.

You can keep up with Bart on Instagram.
