I’m sure we can all remember the first time we stepped into the world of raw denim, but I’m not sure we can all say we stuck with our first pair for 5 years! Matt of Richmond, Virginia, has stayed faithful to this pair of J.Crew 484 and they have a lot of character to show for their half a decade of wear.
Although J.Crew is far from the most popular brand among denim heads, these jeans still follow the same fade patterns we see from more revered brands in our Fade of the Day feature. The whiskers and honeycombs are subtle and along with the train tracks and wallet fade, complement the softer color the denim has developed over time. These fades aren’t extreme, but Matt has been rewarded for his commitment nonetheless.
