A little bit tailored, a little bit workwear, Shockoe Atelier‘s Sack Jacket is a nice mix of spiffiness and functionality. It’s the kind of thing that you can dress up or down, depending on your mood/the occasion/whatever your resident fashion police requests.
The Sack Jacket’s pocket game is strong, with front patch pockets at the hip and a drunken chest pocket (so named because of its cheerful tilt, or because its angle makes for ideal flask accessibility?). Horn buttons and a rounded collar add a polished finish.
Also, the fabric. According to Shockoe, it’s one of the most unique fabrics they’ve come across, a 12oz. selvedge from Italian mill Candiani, with charcoal weft to the indigo warp, and multi-colored selvedge ID.
Available for $295 at Shockoe Atelier.
