That’s Some Bad Hat, Heddels: The Quint Lookbook by Eric Kvatek

Most days I spend in front of a computer screen, hashing out the latest denim releases via squinting and Google translate. And don’t get me wrong, I live for it, but there are some days in this job that are truly magical. One afternoon a couple months ago was just that, when I got to live out my otaku denimhead fantasy by modeling in a Jaws-inspired lookbook for a product of my own creation and shot by Eric Kvatek. Eric is an incredibly talented photographer who managed to make even me not look like too much of a dingus.

The product in question is the Quint Hat, the latest iteration in our CO-OP collaborative series with Knickerbocker MFG (read the full story here), which is a five panel cap modeled after the looks of certain deep sea fishermen from the 1970s.

We shot the series in the small fishing town of Montauk at the very end of Long Island’s South Fork. Montauk is home to supposedly the most sport fishing records in the world and Captain Frank Mundus, the de facto inspiration for Sam Quint in the book and movie Jaws.

The hat itself will be available Monday, November 7th at 10am EST in the Heddels Shop.
